It is quite surreal to stand in the middle of the Garrett Museum of Art and see all of your husband's ACD poster art for 30 years. And, included were his Years of Water Color Art. Story is, the one picture upstairs in the museum of the couple walking along, was rejected from the Dekalb County Fair when he was 19 years of age. It was too professional.
Where does all that come from. Where is it stored? What would have happened to all that had there been no ACD Festival or Kruse Auctions. He is a true artist. And, his work will go on through history. What an honor.
It is quite a treat to have ridden in Oscar and Bonita's 1935 Auburn - dressed in 30's period clothing. There were classic cars parked all around the museum.
It is quite an honor to get to tell such a great artist, the trash needs carried out!
Thursday, we are escorted to the Museum to meet up with Hoosier Tour (Acd CLub Members who have been on tour to Plymouth for two days. After they have gone through the museum we will ride over to the ACD Automobile Museum for the kick-off luncheon.
Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend.
