Thought it might be the day to take a lighter side. It feels like I am always looking for what we don't do right, and maybe we could take a break this week.
What a gorgeous weekend it has been. Just taking in God's fall beauty as it ends the season; causes us to think how blessed we are with the different seasons. I hear a lot of people who leave this area and go out west complain about how their seasons are all the same. Same temperature - hot. No brightly falling leaves, and beautiful snowy trees. No spring rebirth of flowers and green leaves, and of course, summer breezes.
The other evening, my friends Lori and Valerie took in a gorgeous sunset from the famous DeWitt porch. Lori and Rick had this porch built two years ago and they use it almost year round. It has a heater for the fall and winter. A See through curtain to break the wind, complete with surround sound, and lovely furniture. What a delight that was to share with two forever friends. We ate, (with jackets on, but toasty to say the least. We got caught up on our busy lives and watched another God treat - his sun going down. I admit, I miss both the sunrise and sunset from our home view.
Friendships are another of God's creation and I am grateful for mine.
Have a blessed week and remember our creator.
